A Life Settlement is the purchase of a life insurance policy at a discount from its death benefit amount from an insured who no longer needs or wants the policy.
Investors in life settlements hold portfolios made up of or secured by life insurance policies. Backed by US life insurance companies with high credit ratings (e.g. A, AA and AAA), the policies can be understood as highly rated zero-coupon bonds purchased at discount where the value increases as the maturity date approaches.
As cash flows are based on mortality events of individual policy holders, investment returns are independent of the economic cycle and traditional financial markets.
Life Settlement investments offer an annualized yield target of between 9% to 11%.

The fund seeks to allow non-institutional size investors participation in the more conservative segments of the private credit space without surrendering the benefits of broad strategy and manager diversification, as well as initial and continuous manager due diligence. The focus is on generating optimal yield within the bounds of a capital preservation focus.

The fund seeks to offer an alternative to prudent minded investors.
